Hosting a Basic Skills How to Communicate with Animals workshop is easy.
I offer a 7 hour Basic Skills Workshop. The workshop usually takes place on a Saturday or Sunday from 10am-5pm or 11am-6pm. If you have a group of people who prefer other days this can be arranged.
The cost of the workshop is $149* per person and must be paid 30 days in advance to hold their space. *Regular price of $199 if paid after 30 days in advance. A minimum of 10 people are required to hold a workshop. Contact me directly for minimum workshop requirements in your area. You are NOT responsible for signing up all 10 people. It is a dual effort with your word of mouth and my website/newsletter campaign.
As the Host you also need to provide for the following:
Hosts attend FREE
- An appropriate place to hold the workshop. This is usually a large living room that can accommodate at least 10 participants with minimal distractions. No children please. Your pets are welcomed. No others are allowed to bring their animals without both of our approvals.
- Appropriate seating with back supports and cushioned seats. No sitting on the floors or benches. The workshop is 7 hours so we need comfortable seating.
- Refreshments for the breaks. Vegetarian snacks only please, snacks like cheese and crackers, fruit, trail-mix and tea, water, coffee and juice works fine. (chocolate is a favorite!)
- Promote the workshop by talking to people and hanging fliers in your area. I'll schedule the class, post it on my web site and send the information to my mailing list.
- I will provide additional fliers for you to place in your local stores or shops, if so desired.
- Adequate and appropriate parking for the workshop attendees.
Only one host at one location can attend free. If a spouse or significant other wants to attend please discuss this with me as soon as possible for their fee. In most cases I will allow a reduced rate.
A portable CD player may be needed if this workshop will be held in a city other than Spokane.
Cancellation policy: Any cancellation notice received 30 days prior to workshop date is eligible for full refund or if workshop is cancelled or rescheduled. Less than 30 days notice, credit will be issued to future workshops or sessions. No-shows are not eligible for any refunds or credits. *Prices and hosting requirement subject to change without notice. Once registered your fee is guaranteed.
