I had a session with Judy and her beautiful, fluffy kitty named, Fudge. We were supposed to check in on him and see how he was doing as he was adopted about eight months ago.
“I’m doing great,” he confidently announced to me, “but my mom has something wrong with her.”
At that moment Fudge sent me an image that I use to represent a human’s immune system. I often ask animals to send me the image of something if they don’t know what it is.
In this case, I saw an outline of Judy’s body with cells attacking. Similar to this photo.
I told Judy what Fudge said along with the image of her immune system being attacked and she quickly changed the subject.
We finished up the session and didn’t hear back from her until just the other day.
“I can’t believe this, Karen.” she said. “When we had the session with Fudge I was in the midst of a lot of my own health issues. I actually adopted him to help me ease the pain/spasms that were affecting me. I was so afraid I had cancer or some other terminal disease and I didn’t want to talk about it during that session. I went to all kinds of specialists and had every test you can think of but they were all inconclusive.
I just received the diagnosis and it came back as Lupus.”
Judy was shocked that Fudge knew this six months ago. Her own doctors did not even know what was wrong with her. She only had Fudge for a couple of months at that time.
“He has been such a blessing to me. Not only as a friend and companion, but we are so bonded even though it hasn’t been that long. We were meant to be together.”
I am constantly amazed at what the animals know about us. Fudge did not understand the complexities of the Lupus disease in medical terms but he knew something was wrong. His close bond with his new mom prompted him to share his concerns with me.
Now that’s a beautiful love story.
