How long have you been doing what you do and how did you become an Animal Communicator?
To answer this question, let me share a defining moment with you and the resulting story that brought me to where I am today…
A Pet Loss Specialist, Afterlife Expert, award-winning Animal Communicator, #1 bestselling and multiple award-winning author, and coach.
As far back as I can remember I have always been able to understand and communicate with animals and spirits.
My family didn’t understand how I knew about my departed human loved ones and things about our family pets that I could not have known as a five-year-old child.
With shock and concern, I was discouraged from using my intuitive gifts and was told I had an overactive imagination.
I learned very quickly to not share my gifts with anyone…

For many years, I kept my abilities hidden feeling ashamed of my gifts.
I went on to have many careers that spanned from the mortgage industry to law enforcement.
During that time I hit quite a few roadblocks and my path was paved with challenges including abusive relationships, betrayals, bankruptcy, and enormous amounts of self-doubt.
One of the lowest points in my life came when a business partner embezzled from me causing me to close our very successful company and file bankruptcy.
I was financially devastated, my six-figure income was gone, and years of building a successful business destroyed.
I had no idea what to do or where my next paycheck was coming from.
One day while I was mucking out my horses’ stalls I had one of those insane ‘light bulb moments’…
I loved horses and being around them was so calming to me. As I shoveled the heaps of manure into the wheelbarrow it hit me. I knew what I was going to do for a living. I would clean corrals.
I decided at that moment to go back to what I loved the most, taking care of animals.
I reinvented myself as the ‘Corral Gal’ and I scooped poop for a living by cleaning corrals. As you can see, I know the rear end of a horse pretty well because my livelihood depended on it. It was backbreaking work but I found peace and solace in the barnyard and it was the perfect place to get quiet and focus on my goals.
I had never meditated before but I felt so balanced and complete among the animals. I would talk to myself and the horses and I would ask God and the Universe to help me figure out what to do with my life.
Even though I was in a dire situation, I became aware of a strong desire to give something back to the world and to serve my community in a deeper way. I found this to be very strange as I had never volunteered for anything before.
It was as if an unseen force was guiding me…
It’s very difficult to explain but if this has ever happened to you then you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Because I loved animals so much I started volunteering with the local Animal Control Department which was run by the sheriff’s office. It was there that everything started to shift when I began riding along with the deputies and I fell in love with law enforcement.

Once I graduated from the police academy #1 in my class at the age of 36, I became a deputy in Colorado in a very remote mountain district.
I worked alone on the night shift right out of the academy and responded to many dangerous situations.
I had to learn quickly how to determine what happened on a crime scene for my personal safety. The nearest backup car was sometimes thirty minutes or more away so I started relying on my inner voice and my intuition once again.
My long-forgotten intuitive gifts resurfaced and this time I paid attention to them.
While I was on duty…
I began to study the body language and eye movements of suspects and criminals as my life often depended on it. Soon I realized I could sense who was lying, who was telling the truth, and who was going to try to harm me.
As I started to hone my gifts, I began to have a spiritual awakening. I experienced a heightened sense of awareness and I could understand things that I shouldn’t have known.
I soon discovered quite by chance that pets on crime scenes could tell me what happened and their eyewitness accounts were actually more reliable than the humans I interviewed.
This floored me but I shared it with no one. I would have been the laughing stock of the department if my sergeant knew my confidential informants had four legs and a tail. I decided right then and there that I would learn everything I could about intuition, psychic abilities, and Animal Communication.

Even though I was excited about my newly-sharpened psychic skills most of my friends at that time mocked me and I took some pretty harsh criticism from family members as well.
I got caught up in what everyone else thought about me and I began a downward spiral into one of the lowest points of my life…
I felt alone and confused about who I was, why I was here, and what my life’s purpose was.
In a state of confusion, I left law enforcement, relocated to Eastern Washington in the hopes of finding my true purpose in life as well as trying to resuscitate my failing marriage.
I remember a specific, life-changing moment when I had just about given up on myself. I was working for a mortgage company in a job I hated and had all but stopped practicing my Animal Communication skills. I had been beaten down by a controlling, narcissistic, verbally abusive, cheating husband and I had no self-worth.
I felt empty inside. No matter how hard I tried I could not figure out what to do with my life. I knew I had something inside me that could help others but I had no idea how to move forward.
I was diagnosed with severe depression and with each passing day my energy dwindled…
I felt like throwing in the towel.
Why was everything such a struggle?
With no focus or clarity anywhere on my horizon, some coworkers talked me into going to a July 4th party and that’s when everything changed.
The next-door neighbor at that party asked me if I wanted to see a little bird she was rehabilitating. She knew I could talk to animals so she thought I could figure out where this little guy came from.
Intrigued, I went over to her house to see the little bird.
What happened next was miraculous.
I watched as she brought a little white dove from a back room. The dove seemed oblivious to all the noise and commotion going on in her kitchen. I could not take my eyes of the dove and I extended my index finger which he stepped onto without hesitation. There were several children gathering around to hear what the bird had to say. They wanted to know where he came from and if he had a family.
As I tuned into his energy I felt a rush come over me. I felt like I was being transported to another place and time and the sounds of the children around me became muffled and distant.
The dove spoke directly to me.
He knew everything about me.
He knew how I had just about given up on life. He knew I had stopped practicing my Animal Communication skills and that many people close to me had mocked my psychic abilities. I stood in awe of what was happening, unable to move and unable to speak.
He calmly told me in silent messages that I knew in my heart that I must continue my work helping others with my psychic abilities as it was my purpose in life.
My mind was reeling and it was from that moment that I knew my true calling was to develop these gifts and I became a full-time professional Animal Communicator, Medium, and Coach. My future depended on me owning my gifts and my psychic abilities so I could help others. I took a gigantic leap of faith, left that high-paying corporate job and launched my business.
